THE SONG OF SWEET MYRIAM AKA THE MYRIAD BREWERY CHICKEN
We hope you enjoy this sweet song written by some of Myriam’s biggest fans! We enjoyed our brewery chicken so much, and we’re touched that a song was written in her memory.
Listen to “The Song of Sweet Myriam”
The story behind the song:
While relaxing at Myriad this summer with my friend Carolyn Beurman we met Myriam. At the time Myriam, a stray chicken, came pecking by without a care in the world. I had no idea at the time what effect this chicken would have on us and many other Myriad patrons. I looked forward to seeing Myriam each visit. When I learned that Myriam was missing, I was taken back and checked back to see if she had been located. I was eventually informed that Myriam was no more. I had no idea that Myriam had touched my friend Carloyn’s heart. Within hours of learning of Myriam’s demise, Carloyn wrote the lyrics for this song calling it a “Cute Chicken Song”.
Carolyn and I decided to produce and record this song. We were blessed by a talented and supportive group of musicians to develop the song. In addition, we required technical support to understand and use the equipment and software needed for an effort like this. It was truly a collaborative effort that involved talent, patience and flexibility. I think we made every mistake possible along the way but made it through the process of recording, mixing and mastering the song. We both had an amazing experience bringing this song to life.
